Articmedia is also a publishing company making nature books. Lassi Rautiainen is not only one of the most well-known nature photographers of Finland, but having worked as a journalist for many years, he is a skillful writer, thus he writes the stories in his nature photo books himself. Inspired by his own experience at the Russian border, in Wild East he is telling fictional stories around the rather difficult start of his nature photo undertaking in the Finnish wilds. Further he enjoys to tell stories from the viewpoint of animals, like he did in his latest book, Severi Saukon Seikkailut, a picture and children's book about the young otter Severi. All in all, Lassi is the author of more than twenty picture books.
