Seasonal offer

Following to the season of the year, we can offer you different sorts of safaris. In spring, summer and autumn, there are bears, wolves, wolverines and eagles, beavers, and birds like cranes, whooper swans, owls etc. (see all photo targets) for more information about your species of interest). In winter, there are wolves, wolverines and eagles in Kuhmo, golden eagles, dippers, owls, northern lights and winter landscapes, moose, black woodpeckers and Siberian jays etc.

In spring, there are the same species like in summer, but in addition there is the ongoing capercallie and black grouse mating season. From our bird hide, you’ll also observe cranes, golden eyes, teals and other birds mating, and the whooper swans building their nests (see all photo targets or other birds).

However, many other species as well as northern lights and landscapes are possible to photograph and observe, which you’ll find under all photo targets. Our photo hiking tours are meant for to get a real wilderness experience, since we’ll visit deep original boreal forest and wetland areas. The silence and peacefulness of the forest is overwhelming. Amateurs and professionals will have lots of opportunities for taking landscape as well as close up pictures.
